The BBC Proms are a summer season of daily orchestral classical music concerts. These concerts are usually held annually for a period of eight weeks and they are held at the Royal Albert Hall in London. These Proms started on the 10th of August 1895 and they were the brainchild of the impresario Robert Newman.
