Pad printing (also called tampography) is a printing process that can transfer a 2-D image onto a 3-D object (e.g., a ceramic pottery). This is accomplished using an indirect offset (gravure) printing process that involves an image being transferred from the cliché via a silicone pad onto a substrate.
Pad printing is used for printing on otherwise difficult to print on products in many industries including medical, automotive, promotional, apparel, and electronic objects, as well as appliances, sports equipment and toys. It can also be used to deposit functional materials such as conductive inks, adhesives, dyes and lubricants.
移印，屬於特種印刷方式之一，它能夠在不規則的產品表面印刷各種文字及圖案，可以單色印刷也可以雙色或者多色印刷，工藝相對簡單，能夠一次印刷成功不需要其它工序，現在移印技術的應用非常的多，例如我們天天使用的水杯，鍵盤，筆等，還有各種電子產品表面的印刷，都是採用移印完成的。
